What exactly is it?

Firstly this is a two-in-one toy,  with a tough plastic exterior, and a tennis ball on the inside. As a result, it really captures dogs’ attention. Secondly, it’s available in medium/large or large/extra large. Also it has a loud squeaker, so beware if loud noises are not to your taste! Due to the handles on each side, it’s really easy to pick up and throw for your dog.

What's good about this dog activity toy?

  • Available in two different sizes, allowing you to get the one that’s best for your dog.
  • Above all, it’s really interactive and the multiple components make it fun for your dog to play with.
  • Similarly. it’s good for larger dogs, who can be harder to buy for.
  • Finally, there is a choice of colours, which means you can take your pick!

Is there anything not so good?

  • While tough, it’s not indestructible. After all, it is made of plastic! So it’s not suited to really aggressive chewers.
  • Maybe if squeakers get on your nerves, then this is not a toy for you inside. Consequently, that’s why I’m classing the Jumbler as an outdoor dog toy.
  • Probably not suitable for puppies, because it’s too big and hard.

What exactly is it?

Firstly, they are made to be hard wearing and tough, so are long lasting dog activity toys. Due to the construction, you can either play with your dog in a tug-of-war competition, or you can throw the ropes for them, as shown in the picture above.

Why is this good to play with your dog?

  • Because of the quality construction, these ropes are excellent value for money, and you can expect many, many hours of play with your dog.
  • Safety is a priority for the manufacturer, so these ropes do not have any plastic or chemicals within. As a result, if your dog does manage to chew through any part of it there is nothing toxic there to cause them harm.
  • Most importantly, a toy like this is a really good way to strengthen your bond through play time. Our German Shepherd’s rope toy is one of his favourite dog toys for outside. For example, if we were mowing the lawn, he would lay it down ahead of the mower to get you to keep throwing it for him!

Is there anything not so good?

  • Probably not suitable for very small dogs or puppies, because it’s a bit big. Due to it’s size, I feel the knots could cause quite a knock for a smaller dog, especially if they don’t quite manage to catch it.

What exactly is this outdoor dog toy?

One cool squirrel, who loves to be thrown and chased. First of all, with its four corners, you can easily grab and throw it for your dog. Similar to other disks it flies well through the air, and the spinning motion creates visual excitement for your pet. Finally, it’s easy to pick up and is available in different sizes to suit different dogs.

What's good about this dog activity toy?

  • Due to the awesome aerodynamic shape, it flies well in the air.
  • Interestingly the “paws” glow in the dark, so it won’t get lost on dark winter nights
  • Made from durable canvas
  • And it floats in water!

Is there anything not so good?

  • My only comment is it’s a bit light for super windy days, unless you want to spend a lot of time chasing after it!
  • It can take a little while to get the hand of throwing it so it travels far enough, but persevere and it will be worth it.

These are my top picks for outdoor dog toys, but I would love to hear from you if you have any recommendations. It’s always good to hear the opinions of others.
